The search for the perfect shave.

De zoektocht naar de perfecte scheerbeurt. - Manandshaving

We know that many of our customers are seriously looking for the perfect shave. Below are the experience and shaving tips from a good customer of ours.

The test concerns the 3-blade and 5-blade cartridge razor blades van Raz*War. Of course, the right preparation is important: lather your skin well with water, shaving brush, and shaving soap, and shave as much as possible with the hair growth direction. After shaving, optionally lather again and shave against the grain.

Shaving with the cartridge razor blade

Shaving with the hair growth direction is key: it will significantly improve your shaving comfort, prevent irritation, and reduce the risk of razor bumps and ingrown hairs. With the help of the 5 blades, you can achieve the "Baby Butt" shaving level.

Start at the sideburns and follow the line of your face to your chin (see drawing). Shave with long and smooth strokes. If you have prepared your skin well, one shave is enough. You will notice that the better your skin is prepared, the quieter the shave will be: the blades make hardly any scraping sound.

After the cheeks, start shaving your neck. Shaving the neck is more difficult. This area is more sensitive to razor bumps and ingrown hairs. Here too, you must shave with the hair growth direction. Therefore, move the razor from the chin and jawline downward. One shave is usually enough. Not smooth enough? Shave again. Don't forget to apply shaving foam again.

After finishing the neck, it's time to start on the chin. For most men, the toughest beard hairs are here. The hair growth direction varies for everyone. It's best to shave from left to right or vice versa. Avoid too many passes with the razor. Then shave the area directly under the lower lip.

Not satisfied with the smoothness of the chin? Lather up again, pull the skin tight from the chin towards the ears with one hand, and shave over it once more.

Finally, it's time for the mustache area. First shave from top to bottom. The corners of the lips are tricky. Tip: place your tongue at the side of the lip and "push" your skin outward. By pushing with your tongue, you bring the right "curve" to the skin and ensure the razor can shave more efficiently.
