Product information
The famous Belgian Blue Whetstone from the Ardennes is the whetstone for sharpening and maintaining the straight razor.
The whetstone is supplied in a luxurious wooden box.
Usage
- Wet the whetstone
- Place the whetstone on a flat surface. Make sure the stone is stable.
- Only use the yellow top stone for sharpening
- Keep the shaving foil flat (0 degrees) relative to the ironing surface
- Press the shaving foil lightly onto the whetstone
- Smooth the shaving foil over the stone with a gentle movement
- Turn the foil over to sharpen the other side
- After sharpening, remove any burrs using the canvas side of the ironing belt
- And, if necessary, polish it with the leather of the ironing strap

- Yellow Coticule top stone: 6000 - 8000 grit (grain)
- Blue bottom stone: 4000 grit
